Elite Hockey Player!

What is an Elite Hockey Player (EHP)? Do I want to pursue the EHP route? Do I have support from my family, friends, and coaches to become one of the best EHP? Do you have the finances to play at that level? These are several questions that you may ask as a hockey player or parent.

This diagram helps you to understand what is involved when you want to become an EHP. EHP focused on the 12 to 18 year old hockey player. You can search the Internet to learn more about the definition of Perseverance, Confidence, Character, key characteristics of a hockey profile for an EHP:

Becoming an EHP is more than just being about power and size. It is more than being able to skate and control the plays.

Being an EHP model for your peers, you must demonstrate leadership on the ice and off the ice.

You must you must believe in yourself, you must play with confidence and character like Mr Hockey (Gordie Howe) did.

Being a great EHP model, you must know how to play when things are going well but more importantly you must know how to play when things are going poorly.

You must learn how to set goals, reach those goals, play with confidence, improve your focus and so much more.

An educator, advisor, or an agent may help you to become a better EHP.

An educator, by definition, is somebody who educates/teachs/guides an EHP to think about the best choices for his hockey development and presents the pros and cons of becoming an EHP. Parents, tutors, coaches could be examples of educators.

An advisor, in the hockey sense, is somebody who advises hockey players about which hockey route they should pursue. Sometimes, they will recommend the College route to the Pro league.

A hockey agent, in the hockey sense, is somebody who is helping hockey players (15-35 years old) to progress to the highest level possible in Pro hockey.  Hockey agents are full-time professionals that belong to a Professional Agents Association. Very often, they will recommend the Junior major route to the Pro league.
